Physical Therapists at Missoula Bone & Joint

Each October is an opportunity to raise awareness about the numerous benefits of physical therapy (PT) during National Physical Therapy Month. We have a very talented group of physical therapists at Missoula Bone & Joint who all enjoy working closely with their patients to empower them to achieve their lifestyle goals. They use evidence-based, patient-centered care to educate their patients in pain free movement, enhance well-being, and gain confidence to perform their desired daily activities.

Thank you to each and every one of our amazingly compassionate and skilled therapists!

Who are physical therapists?

They are movement experts who improve quality of life and help prevent chronic conditions through individualized prescribed exercise, hands-on care, and patient education. A Physical Therapist is a licensed healthcare provider with seven years’ education, including an undergraduate degree and three years of physical therapy school in which they earn a doctorate. Many of our Missoula Bone & Joint Physical Therapists have gone on to get additional certifications and training within orthopedics to better serve our patients. Our therapists are also members of the American Physical Therapy Association – APTA.

Physical Therapists help patients avoid surgery and prescription drugs, maximize mobility, manage pain and chronic conditions, increase independence with mobility and self-care, prevent many chronic conditions and metabolic syndrome, and improve physical function and fitness. They treat people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities while encouraging ownership of one’s own recovery and/or health throughout life.

How can you help us celebrate National Physical Therapy Month?

Aim for taking ownership of your own health and making physical activity part of your lifestyle! Try getting 30 minutes (or more) of moderate physical activity a day. Sit less. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Stretch. Do some strength training. Encourage PT when you know it might improve someone’s quality of life. There are so many ways you can help us celebrate! #ChoosePT

How can we help you?

If you have any questions about Physical Therapy and how our Physical Therapists can help you, please give us a call (406) 542-4702. Let us help you!
