    Kristin enjoys connecting with her patients, educating them about their diagnoses, and assisting them in getting back to the activities that they love through occupation-based interventions. She has had a focused career as a certified hand therapist treating a wide variety of upper extremity diagnoses including orthopedic, trauma related, management of the arthritic hand, overuse syndromes, and neurological disorders. She is dedicated to emphasizing the holistic perspective of OT within her treatment sessions for best outcomes.

    WHAT IS HAND THERAPY? 

    Hand Therapy is a specialty practice in orthopedics that focuses not only on the hand but can include the entire upper extremity. The overall goal of hand therapy is to restore as much return of hand/arm use as possible given the patient’s particular condition.

    Interests:

    Kristin is a medical yoga therapist who melds the tenets of yoga practice and lifestyle medicine with the OT framework. She is an adjunct faculty member and the hand therapy elective track director through the occupational therapy doctorate program at Rocky Mountain University in Provo, Utah. She works toward translating lessons from the clinic to the classroom. She is dedicated to incorporating evidence-based practice into the clinic setting.

    Hobbies:

    Being with family and animals, hiking and exploring, fishing, photography, art, and yoga.
