    Mitch Mayfield is a Physician Assistant specializing in general orthopedics and upper extremity injuries and conditions. He enjoys helping patients understand their injury/condition and discussing the best treatment options to get them back to activities they enjoy! Mitch works closely with Dr. Charlie Sullivan who specializes in all conditions of the upper extremity (elbow, wrist, and hand).

    Mitch was born and raised in northwest Wyoming and received his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Wyoming where he played collegiate hockey. He then earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University in Boise, Idaho. Mitch served for 4 years as a Physician Assistant in the US Army and 6 years in the Wyoming National Guard.

    Mitch has always dreamed of living in Missoula and fell in love with all of the amazing employees at MBJ during his last clinical rotation of PA School. Mitch is happiest when he is outside with his golden retriever, Max. He enjoys playing sports to include hockey, soccer, and pickleball and is excited to learn to golf.

    Mitch enjoys being outside with his golden retriever, Max. He also enjoys playing sports like hockey, soccer and pickleball, His hobbies include floating the river, skiing, hiking and playing video games. He is a huge Colorado Avalanche fan and enjoys visiting different breweries.
