Walk-In Orthopedic Clinic on Mullan Road in Missoula

We are always surprised when we learn that someone in our community didn’t know we had a walk-in clinic when they fell and broke their wrist, or slipped on the ice and felt a pop in their knee, or woke up with back pain. Yes, we offer a Walk-In Orthopedic Clinic that is open in the evenings, on weekdays and on Saturdays. No Appointment is needed and we specialize in all injuries and joint pain. Please check our website for up-to-date hours.

Save time and money – Save yourself time and money and come straight to us, the orthopedic specialists, with your next unexpected injury or joint pain.

What patients are saying:

“I slipped on the ice and heard a pop in my heel. Unfortunately I went to the ER first, who sent me to MBJ urgent care. The PA at Bone & Joint evaluated my lower leg and suspected an achilles tendon rupture. The surgeon was called and I was scheduled surgery that week. I wish I had known about the Walk-In Clinic and gone straight to Bone & Joint.” patient testimonial

“I came straight from the ski hill and got x-rays of my collar bone. The PA showed me my x-rays which identified the broken bone. I was explained my options and left with a shoulder brace. So glad I came straight here.” patient testimonial

“I woke up with knee pain and it was really painful to walk. I came to the walk-in clinic and after a thorough examination I was offered a steriod injection in my knee to help stop the pain and inflammation. Thank you for your help.” patient testimonial

What to expect – you will check in at our main clinic at 2360 Mullan Road in Missoula, Montana. The triage assistant will take a brief history, take your insurance information (cash pay is also accepted), and assign your visit to the Physician Assistant working in our Urgent Care Clinic. You will be made to feel as comfortable as possible. Our goal is always to treat you in a timely manner. The Orthopedic Assistant will guide you to a patient exam room, take your vital signs, complete the patient history, and chat with you about your injury or pain. If needed, x-rays are ordered. We have 2 digital x-ray rooms located in the center of our clinic. The x-rays are taken and sent via computer to your exam room. The certified Physician Assistant, PA-C, will conduct a comprehensive exam and go over your x-rays with you in the exam room. If surgery is needed, the PA-C will consult with an MBJ surgeon. The PA-C can give injections, and order an MRI or any other tests to complete your evaluation. If you break (fracture) a bone, a cast can be applied at the time of your appointment. If bracing is recommended, a bracing specialist will come to your exam room to explain the brace and fit for your body type. I have heard it explained as your one-stop orthopedic clinic for quick access to cost-effective, quality orthopedic care.

What do we treat – Our walk-in clinic does specialize in sporting injuries but we also specialize in any pain or condition to any joint in your body. From neck to toes, young or older, we are here for you! If it is a life threatening condition please go directly to the Emergency Room or call 911.

Work place injuries – If you slip at work, or sustain a workplace injury, please call ahead to verify that your work compensation insurance is accepted at our clinic (406)829-5581
