Nicholas Beck, MDHand & Microvascular SurgeonDr. Nicholas Beck is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty certificate in orthopedic surgery of the hand. With experience treating conditions of the elbow, wrist, and hand, he specializes in addressing nerve entrapments (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), trigger finger, arthritis, fractures, and traumatic injuries.
Known for his compassionate and patient-centered approach, Dr. Beck takes the time to understand each patient’s unique needs and goals. He specializes in using the latest minimally invasive techniques and advanced treatment options to ensure optimal outcomes with faster recovery times. He is dedicated to restoring function and helping his patients return to the activities they love, whether that’s work, hobbies, or sports. Patients value his ability to explain diagnoses and treatment plans clearly, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
Dr. Beck is a Montana native and grew up in Baker, Montana. He received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Montana State University in Bozeman where he met his wife, Lindsey. They both decided to pursue medicine and moved to Philadelphia, where he attended medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Beck completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, followed by fellowship training in hand surgery at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
After 4 years in practice in Billings, they decided to move to Missoula with their 2 children. Dr. Beck is so happy to be building community in Missoula and has become a partner at Missoula Bone & Joint. When not at work, he enjoys everything outdoors Montana has to offer.

Claire Joubert is a Physician Assistant, PA-C, who works closely with Dr. Beck in both surgery and the clinic. Claire also evaluates and treats patients that come to our Urgent Care.
