    Doctor of Physical Therapy

Deann Cleveland, DPT, unknowingly began her journey toward becoming a physical therapist while rehabbing a softball injury in middle school. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Mississippi College in 2009 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2012. Deann joined Missoula Bone & Joint Physical Therapy in 2014, bringing a strong background in post-operative rehabilitation and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).

Throughout her career, she has expanded her clinical experience across pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient orthopedics, ambulatory surgery, and hippotherapy (the use of horses in physical therapy). Her favorite part of being a physical therapist is establishing long-term care relationships that allow her to fully understand her patients and help them reach, and exceed their goals. Deann moved to Montana in 2014, immediately fell in love with the beauty of the mountains, and is proud to now call it home. Her approachable, compassionate care and dedication to helping others make her a valued part of the MBJ team.

Outside the clinic, Deann enjoys camping, kayaking, going to rodeos, exploring new places, and spending as much time outdoors and at the barn as possible. She’s also active in church and community service projects, and never turns down a good cup of coffee.
