    Anesthesiologist

Dr. Cristi Sullivan is a board-certified physician anesthesiologist with a longstanding commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Originally from central Oregon, she attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, where she played Division I tennis for the Oregon Ducks (1995–1996) while earning a double major in biology and Spanish. After graduating in 1999, she worked at a health clinic in Portland before beginning medical school.

Dr. Sullivan earned her medical degree and completed her residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine, graduating in 2004 and 2008, respectively. While in Salt Lake City, she met her husband, Charlie, and together they embraced the outdoors, spending time skiing and fly fishing in the Wasatch Mountains.

In 2009, Dr. Sullivan and her family relocated to Missoula, where she has been a dedicated part of the medical community ever since. She has served in numerous leadership roles across local hospitals and surgery centers and remains actively involved in advancing anesthesia care in the region. She believes that Missoula is a city with exceptional medical care and is proud to be part of it.

Her current professional interests include enhancing recovery for patients undergoing outpatient total joint replacement and advancing the use of ultrasound in anesthesiology—both for regional anesthesia (nerve blocks) and point-of-care diagnostic techniques. Dr. Sullivan continues to be curious and committed to improving the practice of anesthesiology and believes that every patient deserves a safe, positive, and reliable perioperative experience with the best possible surgical outcomes.

Outside of work, Dr. Sullivan enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. The family stays active year-round through travel and outdoor recreation, including skiing, rafting, fishing, and participating in organized sports such as soccer, hockey, and volleyball. She also enjoys Missoula’s trails—whether running, biking with friends, or hiking with her dogs.
