Dr. Nicholas Beck is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, with a subspecialty certificate in orthopedic surgery of the hand. He specializes in all injuries and conditions of the upper extremity (elbow, wrist, and hand), which includes nerve entrapment such as carpal tunnel, trigger finger, upper extremity trauma reconstruction, painful arthritis, fractures, and lacerations.

Dr. Nicholas Beck is a Montana native and grew up in Baker, Montana. He received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Montana State University in Bozeman where he met his wife, Lindsey. They both decided to pursue medicine and moved to Philadelphia, where he attended medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Beck completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, followed by fellowship training in hand surgery at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Dr. Beck and his wife and colleague, Dr. Lindsey Beck, have been in practice in Billings, Montana, for the past four years. They are excited to relocate to Missoula with their two children.

Dr. Beck’s specialization is in helping people with upper extremity ailments. He sees patients that have been struggling with on-going hand, wrist, and elbow pain, in addition to more acute injuries, such as fractures, tendon ruptures, and lacerations. Common conditions that he treats include nerve issues, such as carpal tunnel, tendonitis, and trigger digits; arthritis of the hand and wrist; and hand injuries. He enjoys his chosen profession because it enables him to work with patients of all ages and treat a variety of problems that really impact a person’s day-to-day activities.
