Dr. Charles Sullivan is a board certified, fellowship trained Orthopedic Physician who specializes in treating all conditions of the upper extremity (elbow, wrist & hand), including microvascular surgery, as well as general orthopedics. He joined the Missoula Bone & Joint practice in 2009 after completing medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine, an internship with Maricopa Medical Center, and followed by a residency in Orthopedic Surgery with Maricopa Medical Center and at the University of Utah. He completed his fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Microvascular Surgery at the University of Utah. He also holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery.
Dr. Sullivan’s specialization is in treating all conditions associated with the elbow, wrist and hand. These are varied and complex, but they include things like dislocation, carpal tunnel, tendonitis, arthritis, DeQuervain’s, Dupuytren’s contracture and fractures. No matter what you’re dealing with, there’s hope out there that rests with specialists like Dr. Sullivan. His expertise in microvascular surgery helps patients regain use of their fingers and hands. He likes to work with his patients to find diagnosis and treatment options that work with your unique situation. Every body is different, and that means that each course of treatment will be different too.
When not at work, you’ll find him out in the Missoula community supporting his children’s activities, or enjoying fly fishing, mountain biking, camping, skiing, and soccer, in true Montana Fashion.

Scott Doherty is a Physician Assistant, PA-C, who works closely with Dr. Sullivan in both surgery and the clinic. Scott also evaluates and treats patients who come to our Orthopedic Urgent Care.
